MATERNA Communications implements new mobile content delivery service in partnership with Belgian mobile operator BASE
The information and telecommunications specialist MATERNA, Germany, announces the launch of a new content delivery service in partnership with BASE, the third mobile operator on the Belgian market. This service is powered by MATERNA Communications’ Media Application and Content Server (MACS) – the innovative platform for Multimedia and Entertainment for mobile and home. MACS allows to deliver all types of mobile content, e.g. ringtones, real sounds, music, pictures, themes, animations, java games, videos, plus a wide range of marketing–based promotion services, via various bearers, making use of several off-line and on-line billing mechanisms and under control of powerful back-office tools. MATERNA Communications enhances BASE's mobile content marketing and service portfolio through its MACS platform. This herewith allows BASE to increase its potential business market, enlarge its range of value propositions and enhance customers’ satisfaction. Under its B2C brand name "Fun for Fones", MATERNA Communications provides a music, images and games content catalogue on www.f4f.be. This service is reachable from the BASE WEB portal (www.BASE.be). MATERNA Communications offers a complete and rich catalogue of content items in French, Dutch and English, which is regularly refreshed. This content comes from both MATERNA’s own content factory and its content provider partners, including Major Labels. The music offering in particular includes real and polyphonic ringtones based on Belgian charts (singles) and popular music categories such as new, pop, rock, R&B, etc. The images offering includes wallpapers, animations and mobile themes, for categories such as celebrities, comics, love, zodiac, etc. All these categories also include content linked to specific calendars events such as Halloween, Christmas, etc. Mobile content is ordered via premium SMS short codes, in various price ranges according to the content categories offered. In the future, direct WEB payment will also be made possible, with billing being directly put on the end-user’s mobile invoice.
